COLUMBUS, Ind. – High School Math Curriculum continues to move away from traditional teaching concepts. Columbus North High School Math chair Dale Nowlin told Bartholomew County School Corporation board members on Monday that math classrooms are becoming more like science classrooms, engaging students in groups and challenging them earlier. Nowlin said by engaging students minds with tougher problems sooner, it captivates their minds sooner and helps them persevere. The BCSC Board will consider the curriculum change in two weeks.
