Alzheimer’s Association announces scholarship opportunity

endalzINDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Alzheimer’s Association is accepting applications for research projects in the disease and other dementia-related illnesses.

The Early Investigators Scholarship Award is available to students enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral program at an accredited Indiana college or university. Candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by a staff or faculty member.

Applications must include full name, contact information, academic institution, a 200-word summary of the project and letter of recommendation from a mentor or professor. All applications will be evaluated by the Medical and Scientific Advisory Council of the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter. The panel is comprised of doctors, scientists, researchers and clinicians.

Scholarship winners will receive a $2,500 cash award, public recognition at the Alzheimer’s Association Education Conference reception on June 1, and a complimentary membership into the International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment.
