COLUMBUS, Ind.–Bartholomew County REMC is cutting power for a short time to some of its customers this weekend as the energy provider conducts substation maintenance and repairs in the Hope, Hartsville, and Newbern areas. It begins at midnight Saturday night/Sunday morning and ends around 2 a.m. on Sunday. The two-hour planned power outage will affect 650 customers who reside in the northeast portion of the county, east of State Road 9 and north of State Road 46.
Phone notifications were made to all customers who would be affected. However, you may call the Bartholomew County REMC office at 812-372-2546 to confirm if you will be part of tonight’s planned outage. You are asked to make prior plans for medical equipment requiring electricity.
