One county fair ends, another begins

BARTHOLOMEW AND JOHNSON COUNTIES, Ind.–As the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair winds down today and tonight, final preparations are being made for the opening of the Johnson County Fair, in Franklin.

At the Bartholomew County Fair, the Livestock Sale is this morning. The midway opens at 5 p.m., with all-you-can-ride wristbands for $23. And another Demolition Derby is featured in the grandstand at 7 p.m.

The Johnson County 4-H Fair kicks off today with a parade, at 4 p.m. The official opening is tomorrow, starting with the 4-H Dog Show, at 9 a.m. The midway opens at 5 p.m., and other fair highlights include a pet parade, car show, and the Johnson County Fair Queen contest at 7 p.m.

KORN Country 100.3 is giving fairgoers a shot to win prizes each day by playing Plinko, at their booth in the Farm Bureau Building.
