COLUMBUS, Ind.–The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation board is scheduled to consider new measures to enhance school security around the district at tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting. Superintendent Dr. Jim Roberts is expected to come before the body, along with members from the Council for Youth Development, to give an update on the Counseling Counts initiative.
Governor Eric Holcomb recently offered all Indiana public, charter, and private schools the chance to acquire one free metal detector for every 250 students. Sources say BCSC will pursue this assistance from the state.
Local News Digital will have a full report on the happenings at the school board meeting later tonight.
