COLUMBUS, Ind.–Getting pulled over for a busted headlight turned out to be the least of a Columbus woman’s worries on Monday night. The Columbus Police Department’s Public Information Officer Lt. Matt Harris says that Shelby Bense, 21, was stopped at 11th and Franklin Streets for the traffic violation.
During the stop, police say a canine officer alerted law enforcement to the odor of narcotics. A search of Bense and her two passengers, Lance Krebbs, 21, of Columbus, and Skye Bailey, 21, of Columbus, allegedly produced various drugs and paraphernalia on the trio.
All three suspects earned a trip to Bartholomew County Jail. Bense is charged with possession of marijuana. Krebbs was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. And Bailey will answer to several charges, including trafficking with an inmate, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of heroin, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a legend drug.
