COLUMBUS, Ind.–Christmas will be here before you know it and the “elves” of the Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund are hard at work putting together another season of giving for kids in Bartholomew County.
The organization is still in need of delivery volunteers to help transport the toys collected throughout the year to families in the area on the morning of December 15. If you or your group would like to give your time to help them out, please call 812-390-0152.
Currently, the Cheer Fund operates out of the United Way of Bartholomew County on 13th Street. However, the city recently allowed for a portion of the new Public Safety Training Facility under construction at the Columbus AirPark to be used as a much-needed permanent home for the Cheer Fund in 2019.
