Olympians take another regional crown

COLUMBUS, Ind.–Freezing temperatures in Columbus seemed to put ice water in the veins of the East Olympians as the home team stomped the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots 42-18 to become regional champions for the sixth time since 2011. Columbus East (12-1) will travel to Indianapolis for an IHSAA semi-state game on Friday and will play Cathedral in the 5A contest.

Elsewhere, the Greenwood Woodmen won a Class 4A regional title, beating the Mississinewa Indians 37-24. Greenwood will be on the road to East Central for their semi-state game this Friday.
