COLUMBUS, Ind.—The Columbus Food Co-op is on a push to attract more members to its growing collective and also bring its grocery store on Central Avenue to fruition through an owner loan campaign. The owners will provide a loan to the grocery until the store is up and running and showing a profit. Funds raised will complete work on the store space, in addition to stocking the shelves and hiring staff. For a one-time fee of $90, you can become an owner of the co-op and help the community connect with healthy choices, locally-grown produce, and both natural and organic products not found at most other groceries in Columbus.
