COLUMBUS, Ind.–A Columbus patrolman pulled over a driver for a minor violation, but the traffic stop turned into a much bigger deal and it led to the man’s arrest. Lt. Matt Harris from the Columbus Police Department says that when the officer stopped Calvin Watkins, 46, of Columbus, he claimed he could smell marijuana in the vehicle.

A search allegedly turned up marijuana, methamphetamine, and paraphernalia. Watkins was taken to Bartholomew County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.
