Columbus man busted in federal and state joint raid


COLUMBUS, Ind.—The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department has released information regarding a DEA and Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team raid last month. On July 27, federal and state officers, armed with a search warrant, raided a Fremont Drive address and apprehended 39-year-old Jose Colis-Cerda. He was allegedly found to possess crystal meth, cocaine, marijuana, $22,000 in cash, along with multiple firearms and ammunition. On August 3, Colis-Cerda was remanded into the custody of U.S. Marshals when he was charged with four counts of possession with intention to distribute by the U.S. District Court of Southern Indiana.
