Columbus man leads deputies on chase

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind.–A Bartholomew County man led sheriff’s deputies on a pursuit in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Authorities at the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office say that deputies tried to initiate a traffic stop on Jonathan Gamble, 33, of Columbus, for disregarding a stop sign near Henry Lakes Boulevard. According to law enforcement, instead of pulling over the suspect took off leading officers on a short chase. After a several minutes, deputies say Gamble pulled into the driveway of a residence on Bonesteel Drive where deputies took him into custody without further incident.

Gamble was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement by fleeing in a vehicle, along with driving on a suspended Kentucky drivers license and various other traffic violations.
