Columbus Police officer hurt in restaurant scuffle

COLUMBUS, Ind.–A Columbus Police Department officer was injured during an altercation with an alleged intoxicated person at the Chuck E Cheese, on National Road, on Saturday afternoon. Authorities at the Columbus Police Department say Zacheriah Tillison, 33, of Hope, had passed out at a booth in the restaurant leaving a small child unsupervised. When CPD officers arrived, they attempted to administer Narcan to Tillison. Police say the suspect became combative and one of the officers involved sustained a knee injury during the squabble. Tillison was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail and charged with resisting law enforcement, public intoxication, and child neglect. Police say the four-year-old child with Tillison was later released to the mother.
