Columbus woman arrested following disturbance at Circle K


TAYLORSVILLE, Ind.The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department responded Friday night to the Circle K on U.S. 31 in Taylorsville, after a reported disturbance at the store. A woman was accused of attempting to steal from the store and when the clerk confronted her, the report says Dessirae Loreal Jonesike Streeter, 22, of Columbus, began destroying store displays. 

Deputies responded and confronted the suspect. While there, K-9 officer, Diesel, alerted the deputy to possible drugs in Streeter’s purse. When searched, it allegedly contained a bag of marijuana, a clear glass pipe with burn marks and white residue, a blue pipe with burnt residue and a green leafy substance. Officers say other items found included: two Xanax, a small baggie of a white powdery substance, methamphetamine, an e-cigarette with a wax-like substance inside, a small glass jar of marijuana leaves, and a wax-like substance that had the odor of marijuana. Streeter was transported to Bartholomew County Jail and arrested for possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia, a controlled substance, and marijuana.
