2017 death from overdose stats released

COLUMBUS, Ind.–The Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office has released the 2017 statistics on deaths caused by overdoses. Last year’s total more than doubled the number from 2016. There were 30 deaths in 2017 compared to 12 the previous year. The information was made public to assist in understanding how the current drug crisis is impacting Bartholomew County.

The report’s findings are listed below. Please note that few overdose deaths involve a single drug. Thus, the total number of deaths is smaller than the total drug types involved.
