COLUMBUS, Ind.—New technology will make the work of Bartholomew County probation officers easier and safer. Commissioner Larry Kleinhenz says the agreement with tech company Corrisoft LLC will provide tracking software that will monitor individuals on probation and house arrest while also looking out for the probation officers out in the field. He says the technology is also designed to keep people out of jail, which gets the support of the commissioners. The software will also send reminders for court dates, with the goal of cutting down on failure to appear arrests in the county.
