COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a gas station early Thursday morning. According to Lt. Matt Harris with the Columbus Police Department, three masked men armed with handguns entered the Ricker’s on 450S and demanded money. They left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a white Hummer H2. The Hummer was spotted on Jonathan Moore Pike and officers attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects fled north onto Interstate 65 at speeds of over 100 mph. The suspects fled on foot after crashing near an apartment building in Greenwood. Officers later learned the same men were suspects in the robbery of the Kights Inn Hotel in Seymour. The suspects are still at large. Here is the description of each.
Approximately six foot tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt or jacket and a black face mask. He is a white male.
Approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants with white tennis shoes and a red knit hat. His face appeared to be covered during the robbery. Possibly has blonde hair protruding from the hat.
Approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing all black clothing with a black face mask. Design on his dark pants, knit hat with red and white stripes.
