COLUMBUS, Ind. — Dave Crompton, president of Cummins Power Systems, has resigned from his post after 28 years with the company. Crompton served as an officer for the company for the last 10 years.
The 51-year old executive plans to spend more time with family and pursue personal interests. He last day will be August 1.
Crompton joined the company in 1988 after graduating from Williams College in Massachusetts. Early on he helped the company develop its marine business. During his career he has held key positions with Cummins in the MidRange Engine business, Chrysler, Heavy Duty and Light Duty engine operations.
Current vice president of parts and central supply chain operations, Norbert Nusterer, has been named as his successor.
