COLUMBUS, Ind.–Columbus-based manufacturer Cummins Incorporated recently reached a settlement with JM Turbo Technology Corporation precluding the manufacture or sale of products that infringe Cummins patents.
In the agreement, JM Turbo Technology acknowledged it illegally marketed and sold turbochargers protected by Cummins’ patents and other intellectual property rights registered in multiple countries. The settlement confirmed that patents were infringed, valid and enforceable. Other conditions of the agreement state that JM Turbo Technology will stop all manufacturing, importation, exportation, advertising and/or sale of all infringing products, and destroy all existing inventory of the infringing products.
JM Turbo Technology Corporation is based in Alhambra, California. The Better Business Bureau has given the company a “B-” rating, due to four customer complaints and three negative reviews regarding unreliable products.
