Demand for airport space increases

department-head-brian-payneCOLUMBUS, Ind. – Operations at Columbus Municipal Airport were at a 20-year high in 2016 and to continue that demand, Airport Manager Brian Payne said a key is to build more hangars. There is waiting list of at least 12 businesses that are wanting to move their aircraft to Columbus, according to Payne. The fourth busiest airport in the state of Indiana was named 2016 Airport of the Year. Payne believes there will be new construction and additional development before the end of the year.
