COLUMBUS, Ind.–The Columbus-Bartholomew County Planning Department is holding a three-night workshop, October 24-26, at the United Way of Bartholomew County building, to discuss a vision of the future for the area around the old Golden Foundry location, which has been designated the Central Columbus Neighborhood. The workshop will gather input from the public about the Central Columbus Neighborhood plan, which was developed by the local planning department and the Baltimore-based planning and design firm, Design Collective. The plan looks at the various factors involved in developing the area and provides recommendations for that development. Each daily session of the workshop begins at 6 p.m.

For people who attend the ASAP update meeting at The Commons on October 24, the Planning Department’s Emilie Pinkston confirms that the Wednesday night workshop session on October 25, will allow time for those who missed the Tuesday night meeting to catch up on what was discussed.
