East student partners with Animal Care Services


COLUMBUS, Ind.–Brook Snyder, a student at Columbus East High School, is hosting the “Friendly Animal Adoption Event” to benefit the animals at the Animal Care Services Shelter on Saturday, October 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Columbus Animal Care Services, at 2730 Arnold St., is hoping to help these animals find a new, loving home.

A donation drive for the shelter is also being held.

Animal needs include:

  • Food – especially Puppy, Kitten Food
  • KMR Kitten Milk Replacer Powder & Bottles
  • Pill Pockets
  • Dog, Cat, Rabbitt Treats
  • Cat Litter
  • Dog Bones
  • Dog, Cat Toys
  • Dog, Cat Shampoo
  • Dog Collars, Leashes

Other items needed:

  • Bleach
  • Dishwashing Liquid
  • Paper Towels
  • Newspapers
  • Old Bath Towels
  • Hand Sanitizer

Monetary donations are also appreciated and go into the adoption medical fund that is used to cover spaying and neutering costs, pet care services, veterinarian treatment for pets housed at the facility, pet food, and the promotion of adoptions and educational programs.
