COLUMBUS, Ind.–Police arrested an Edinburgh man over the weekend on a number of charges after he allegedly struck a curb disabling his vehicle and later fought with witnesses who restrained him until law enforcement officers could arrive.  According to Lt. Matt Harris of the Columbus Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Taylor Road following reports of a man who disabled his minivan. The man, identified as Derek Jordan, 21, of Edinburgh, was restrained by officers, but reportedly continued to be combative and struck his head against a CPD patrol car leaving two large dents.  Jordan was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment and was later remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail.
