COLUMBUS, Ind.–Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a mobile home park in Elizabethtown on Monday in reference to a reported battery and rape. The sheriff’s office informed Local News Digital that upon arrival, a female told deputies that a man had broken into her home, raped, and battered her.
The alleged assailant was identified as Teddy Albert Allman, 46, of Elizabethtown. Less than an hour later, officers located the suspect and arrested him on preliminary charges of rape while armed with a deadly weapon, domestic battery with serious injury, intimidation with a deadly weapon, criminal confinement with a deadly weapon, and invasion of privacy.
Allman remains in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $260,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
