Ethnic Expo is successful despite cooler weather

COLUMBUS, Ind.–The Columbus celebration of its unique mix of ethnicities from around the globe was a success despite a sharp change in weather and the fact that many families were still on fall break vacations. The 35th annual Ethnic Expo got off to a cold and sometimes rainy start on Friday, but temperatures rose on Saturday as the clouds parted and the sun warmed up attendees.

This year’s host country, France, was the featured float in the Ethnic Expo parade and also had their host country tent at the end of Washington Street, complete with a dance floor for can-can performances and two food stations serving French sandwiches and crèpes.
