COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Treasurer Barbara Hackman is reminding residents that the deadline for paying your Bartholomew County Fall Property Taxes is Thursday, November 10. They are due that day at the Bartholomew County Government Office Building, 440 Third St, Suite 103, in Columbus.
The office is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 812-379-1530 any weekday, or email treasurer@bartholomew.in.gov. The office will be closed all day on Election Day.
For the convenience of taxpayers, there are several ways citizens may pay their fall property taxes.
- MAIL – Remit Payment to Bartholomew County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1986, Columbus, IN 47202. (Must be postmarked on or before November 10 to be considered on time)
- DROPBOX – 24-hour drop box is located at the Government Office Building, 440 Third Street. (An additional drop box has been added by the back entrance to the building)
- BANKS – First Financial Bank, Jackson County Bank, Horizon Bank, German American Bank, and Centra Credit Union are accepting payments prior to the due date
- ONLINE – Pay by credit/debit card or e-check at www.bartholomew.in.gov (paperless billing). Other options are PayPal and Venmo through the county’s Invoice Cloud online service
