INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The first of three potential debates between the major candidates for Indiana governor will be September 27 at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis. So far, Libertarian Rex Bell, Republican Eric Holcomb, and Democrat John Gregg have expressed interest in having additional debates. If the candidates agree, the remaining debates will be held in October.
The event will be town-hall style, with high school students, teachers and administrators. It will be moderated by University of Indianapolis assistant political science professor, Laura Merrifield Albright. A select number of schools will attend the debate, and a live webcast will be made available to schools statewide through WFYI-TV. Questions can be submitted by students and will be vetted by the Commission for use in the town hall meeting.
