Bad judgment by ‘Good Samaritan’ ends in arrest


FLOYD COUNTY, Ind.–Indiana State Police arrested a not-so-Good Samaritan in Floyd County on Saturday for blocking traffic and having an illegal police radio. ISP says they found John-Michael Ullmer, 23, of Greenville, had stopped his vehicle in the fast lane of I-265, while trying to assist another motorist. His car was parked in the middle of the roadway, equipped with flashing white and red emergency lights. Ullmer was charged with illegal possession of a police radio, unlawful display of emergency lights, reckless driving by blocking flow of traffic, and a light restriction violation.
