Father, son robbed at gunpoint by bicyclist

FRANKLIN, Ind.–A Franklin man wound up paying $240 for a cup of coffee on Wednesday evening. Authorities at the Franklin Police Department report that Jaime Diaz and his son were loading a trailer in the 900 block of Johnson Avenue, when a man came up to them on a bike and asked for money to buy a cup of coffee. Officers say the victim told them he was reaching for his wallet when the suspect pulled a gun on him, took the money and some other items, and fled. The alleged robber is described as a white male with a beard, 25 to 35 years of age, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a skinny build.
