Greensburg man arrested on numerous drug, gun charges


GREENSBURG, Ind.–The Greensburg Police Department said they arrested Anthony Salyers, 38, of Greensburg, earlier this week when he was caught acting suspiciously in the garage of the house in which he was staying. They also observed a female inside the residence, who was later identified as his girlfriend. 

Police say an on-scene investigation led to the discovery of controlled substances. After a search warrant for the garage was obtained, a detailed search allegedly led to the discovery of a handgun, methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, and numerous items of drug-related paraphernalia.

Slayers was transported to the Decatur County Jail and faces the preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm, possession of meth, syringes, marijuana, a handgun with an altered/removed serial number, paraphernalia, and stolen property, along with maintaining a common nuisance and two active Decatur County warrants.
