SHELBY COUNTY, Ind.–A pilot has died following a Friday helicopter crash near the Shelby-Rush County line. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department identified Kerry Lee, 52, of Mooresville, as the operator of a Bell 47 helicopter that was dusting crops when it went down in a cornfield.

The Federal Aviation Administration says it does not know at this time what caused the accident.  Lee was the sole occupant of the aircraft.
