Heritage Fund gifts organizations with new grants

COLUMBUS, Ind.–Heritage Fund recently disbursed funds totaling over $225,000 to several local non-profits in Bartholomew County. Family School Partners and Family Service Inc., both received grants from the community organization totaling over $100,000 to aid in their work assisting families in the county.

Family School Partners was given $42,950 for the purpose of updating the tools and curriculum they provide to families for improving in-home learning activities. Family Service Inc. was awarded $70,329 to increase staff capacity to meet the growing need for mental health services in the area.

The additional $114,000 was distributed to eleven other organizations through the Organizational Excellence grant program which seeks to increase organizational capacity and achieve programmatic and operational excellence. Those organizations were Apprisen, The Arc of Bartholomew County, Bartholomew County Park Board, Bartholomew County Historical Society, Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation, Developmental Services Inc., Foundation for Youth, Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center, Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Turning Point, and Su Casa.
