COLUMBUS, Ind.–A Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy who happened to be patrolling 25th Street in Columbus likely arrived just in time for a Hope man early Wednesday morning. The sheriff’s office says the officer discovered a single-vehicle traffic accident in which a vehicle had run off of the roadway, striking multiple mailboxes and a utility pole before coming to rest in the front yard of a residence.
The driver, identified as Jordan Shehan, 24, of Hope, was transported to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis by Lifeline helicopter. The investigation is ongoing.
