CROTHERSVILLE, Ind. — A 100-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 65 south of Crothersville on Sunday afternoon.
Indiana State Police troopers say the driver, Richard Gulbis, 74, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was traveling west near the 36 mile marker when he lost control and overturned.
Gulbis and his wife, Sharon Gulbis, 72, were rushed to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.
Sharon Gulbis’ mother, Eleanor Burklow, 100, of Portage, Michigan, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say dropping temperatures and a light snow in the area may have contributed to the crash.
