Pacers, Fever deliver Christmas to Columbus kids

COLUMBUS, Ind.–Representatives of two Indianapolis based professional basketball teams, the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever, traveled to Columbus Tuesday to distribute toys to area children. The organizations made the Christmas season brighter for a lot of first graders from the Columbus Signature Academy Lincoln Campus and the Li’l Lambs Child Care Ministry at Sandy Hook United Methodist Church. Pacers Sports and Entertainment Senior VP of Community Relations Bill Benner says the organization has been the benefactor of great public support throughout Indiana and it is a good thing when they get the chance to return that support to the communities and see the smiles on children’s faces. It was the eighth year for the Pacers, Fever and the JAKKS Pacific Toy Company to collaborate on the promotion.
