FRANKLIN, Ind.— A Greenwood man was sentenced to the maximum 32 years in prison for burglary of a Greenwood home in October 2014.
Brian K. Wynne, 51, was convicted in October during a 3-day jury trial of felony burglary and being a habitual felon offender.
On Thursday, a Johnson County judge sentenced Wynne to the longest sentenced allowable by law.
Wynne also agreed with prosecutors to serve six additional years in relation to two pending burglary cases in Greenwood. So, Wynne will serve a total of 38 years.
“We think this case and the sentence Judge Emkes handed down sends a strong message to anyone who thinks about committing a burglary in Johnson County, Indiana. That message is you better be ready to go to prison for a very long time,” said Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Rob Seet.
