FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Johnson Memorial Health Foundation has awarded 39 scholarships totaling $39,500 to local residents pursuing a career in a health-related field.
The 2016 recipient of the Freda P. & Millard R. Montgomery Registered Nursing Scholarship is Paige Hendershot, senior at Whiteland Community High School. Through this scholarship Hendershot will receive $1,000 per semester for the duration of nursing school, not to exceed four years.
The Johnson Memorial Hospital Guild High School Health Career Scholarship has awarded $1,500 to Kaylin Hodson, of Franklin, Lillie Parmer, of Edinburgh, and Emily Yang, of Pendleton.
The Johnson Memorial Hospital Guild Continuing Education Health Field Scholarship has awarded $1,500 to Tiffany Betts, of Franklin, Mariah Brown, of Edinburgh, Jennifer Hendrix, of Franklin, Kaylin Quinnette, of Greenwood, and Jeffrey Wagerman, of Greenwood.
The Katie Robards Memorial Scholarship has awarded $1,000 to 23 students pursuing health careers, including: Kendra Austin, of Edinburgh, Benjammin Bacon, of Greenwood, Karley Beam, of Whiteland, Brooke Boles, of New Whiteland, Samantha Boyd, of Trafalgar, Jacob Bright, of Franklin, Mariah Brown, of Edinburgh, Madison Colvin, of Greenwood, Abby Goin, of Franklin, Ashley Hartkorn, of Franklin, Jennifer Hendrix, of Franklin, Brakayla Hillis, of Greenwood, Kaylin Hodson, of Franklin, Mary Lefevers, of New Whiteland, Kaitlyn Link, of Trafalgar, Katie Ann Mitchell, of Bargersville, Haley Oschner, of Greenwood, Kaylin Quinnette, of Greenwood, Cynthia Rhoda, of Bargersville, Ashley Sheidler, of Greenwood, Elizabeth Scott, of Franklin, and Jeffrey Wagerman, of Greenwood.
The Katie Robards Memorial Scholarship has also awarded $500 to Tonya Hillis, of Greenwood.
Each scholarship varies on eligibility, monetary awards and what the scholarship may be used to support.
