COLUMBUS, Ind.— A local math teacher has announced and filed his candidacy for the Indiana House District 59. Dale Nowlin will run as a Democratic candidate. Nowlin has been a teacher for 39 years and has been teaching in Columbus since 1985.
Nowlin is serving his second term on the National Assessment Governing Board and feels that his expertise on education assessment will help lawmakers reshape student assessment and teach accountability.
