Columbus woman busted for warrants, drugs, false informing

Chelsie McFall

COLUMBUS, Ind.–Officers with the Columbus Police Department arrested a local woman on drug-related charges Wednesday night after being called to a Bartholomew County residence for an unrelated incident. Lt. Matt Harris, spokesperson for CPD, says that police responded to the 3000 block of North Talley Road in regards to a person requesting to make a police report.

As authorities investigated, they encountered a woman who they say gave them a false name when originally asked to identify herself. Police later positively identified her as Chelsie McFall, 29, of Columbus. Officers say they eventually confirmed that she had four outstanding Bartholomew County warrants for her arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and during a patdown, two syringes were allegedly found in her coat.

McFall was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail, charged with the four previous Bartholomew County warrants, false informing, and possession of a legend drug injection device.
