MARTINSVILLE, Ind.–A Delaware County man was arrested for drugs and previous warrants during a traffic stop on Saturday morning near the Johnson-Morgan County line. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says that an officer performed a license plate check on an SUV on State Road 37, which determined that both listed owners of the vehicle had suspended licenses.
The deputy pulled over the driver for questioning. Initially, the man allegedly gave law enforcement false information about his identity. It was later confirmed that the suspect was actually Tyler Davis, 23, of Daleville. The sheriff’s office further states the deputy smelled marijuana on the subject’s breath, and a search of the vehicle supposedly turned up a baggie of marijuana, a wooden pipe, and a metal grinder.
Davis faces charges for two previous warrants from Muncie City Court and Delaware County, false informing, possession of marijuana, and driving while suspended.
