Manhunt for armed robbery suspect continues

reese keithFRANKLIN, Ind. – The search continues for the man who reportedly broke into the home of an elderly couple and restrained them at gunpoint Monday. According to a press release from the Johnson County Prosecutors office, Reese Keith, who also goes by Keith Reese, is facing eight charges in connection with the incident including burglary, armed robbery, and criminal confinement.

The report also says that Keith’s interaction with the Greenwood Police Department began Sunday when he ran from a crash. He was caught, but after suffering numerous medical episodes, he was admitted to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. Keith was left there unattended by Greenwood Police and eventually walked out of the hospital. Allegedly, he is suspected of robbing the couple the next day and he is still on the run. Because of the incident, the policy for determining whether to leave a suspect unsupervised at the hospital is being updated to require the permission of a judge.
