COLUMBUS, Ind. — Former director of operations at Mill Race Center, Dan Mustard, has been promoted to executive director. Mustard has been with the organization since 2014. Mustard succeeds the recently retired, Bob Pittman.
“Often times it is difficult for someone to follow a long-time executive director. The Executive Team did an outstanding job during the transition period; which included achieving the organization’s goal of reducing our operating deficit. We are fortunate that Dan surfaced as the natural long-term leader for Mill Race Center and are very pleased he will continue to serve Mill Race Center as our Executive Director,” said Lynne Hyatt, President of Mill Race Center Board of Directors.
Mustard graduated from Asbury University with a bachelor of arts in history, and has a 15-year history in the human services sector, including Gateway Service of Johnson County Arc. He and his wife, Linda, have two sons and reside in Columbus.
Mill Race Center is located in downtown Columbus and serves the “50-plus” community with a variety of activities and events. The organization’s goal is to maximize opportunities to help them lead independent, healthy and meaningful lives.
