BARGERSVILLE, Ind.–A Mooresville man was arrested late Sunday night after a Johnson County Sheriff’s deputy noticed him cross the center lines of County Roads 500N and 225W in Bargersville. Authorities at the Johnson County Sheriff’s office say the officer stopped Joseph Matthew, 35, who said his contact lens was bothering him. While questioning the suspect, the deputy smelled burnt marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle and saw two marijuana cigarettes laying on the center console. A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up a baggy of a brown substance, and a baggy of a white powdery substance. Matthew was taken to Johnson County Jail, where another baggy of a white substance turned up on his person. He was charged with possession of the narcotics along with trafficking into a detention center.
