COLUMBUS, Ind. — The American Red Cross is in immediate need of blood donations. To make an appointment to give blood call 800-RED-CROSS, go online to redcross.org/give-blood, or download the Red Cross app. The app provides information about planned donation sites and times or allows donors to schedule an appointment.
Donors must have a blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification, be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health.
Statistics show a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in the United States. Here is a list of donation sites:
