Pilot, passenger survive emergency landing in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ind.–A pilot and his passenger had a scary mishap on Wednesday afternoon near Franklin. The Johnson County Sheriff Department says that the single-engine Piper Comanche experienced a fuel problem forcing the pilot into an emergency landing at around 2 p.m. He set the aircraft down in an empty farm field, near County Road 525E and State Road 44.

Both occupants of the aircraft suffered minor cuts and bruises, but refused treatment.
