Traffic stop leads to recovery of stolen minivan

SEYMOUR, Ind.–Officers with the Seymour Police Department nabbed a Jackson County man late Sunday evening who allegedly had recently stolen a minivan from Brownstown. Authorities say Adam Wood, 21, of Brownstown, was stopped by a patrolman, and then got into a scuffle with the officer when he tried to flee after the vehicle was identified as stolen.

Another policeman arrived on the scene to assist and ended up apprehending Wood by tasering and incapacitating him. Wood was taken into custody, transported to Jackson County Jail, and charged with auto theft, resisting law enforcement, and driving while suspended with a prior conviction.
