Public safety titans clash over…RIBS?!

COLUMBUS, Ind.–Personnel from both the Columbus Fire Department and the Columbus Police Department are preparing to compete against each other next week in a rib eating contest in an effort to raise money for two great causes. The good-natured competition, sponsored by the Columbus Texas Roadhouse, is scheduled for Monday, September 17, at 6:45 p.m.

The event gives officers and firefighters a chance to battle each other for bragging rights while raising funds for their respective Christmas charities, the Firemen’s Cheer Fund and Shop-with-a-Cop.

Ten percent of the restaurant’s sales that day will be donated to these important organizations that help make the holiday season a merry one for hundreds of kids in the area. The public is invited to come to the Texas Roadhouse in Columbus this Monday evening and support the police officers and firefighters as they compete for their charities.
