SEYMOUR, Ind.–After fleeing law enforcement, a Jackson County man was finally arrested on various auto-related charges early Sunday morning. The Seymour Police Department says James Grissom, 33, was pulled over in a vehicle recognized by officers as one that was reported stolen on July 7. During questioning, the suspect suddenly sped away and allegedly led police on a brief car chase starting on East Oak Street. Officers say the vehicle pursuit continued until Grissom pulled into a residence on South O’Brien Street, exited the vehicle, and fled on foot. Policemen caught up to him a short time later.

Once apprehended, Grissom was taken to the Jackson County Jail and charged with auto theft, resisting law enforcement, resisting law enforcement (felony and misdemeanor charges), driving while suspended with a prior conviction, and residential entry.
