Duke Energy makes progress on outages

SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA–More strides were made overnight by Duke Energy personnel to restore power to those hit by last Thursday morning’s ice storm. The remaining outages in Bartholomew County were all brought back online, while there are still about 50 customers without service in Jackson County and nearly 200 with no power in Jennings County.

Originally, as many as 10,000 Duke Energy customers within Bartholomew County were affected after the storm. That number has diminished dramatically the last two days as additional crews have been working around the clock to clear downed trees, repair service lines, and restore power.
