INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Supreme Court is considering arguments that Samuel Sallee was wrongfully convicted of killing four people in Waynesville in 2013.
Sallee, of Columbus, was found guilty last year in the deaths of Katherine Burton, Thomas Smith, Aaron Cross and Shawn Burton.
Sallee’s attorney argued Thursday during an appeal hearing that the conviction should be overturned due to circumstantial evidence.
State attorneys say the only reasonable conclusion is that Sallee was the killer.
The state judges will make a decision after reviewing the case.
